In the depths of space, aboard the starship Invictus, a daring rescue mission was underway. The crew, led by their Captain Joy Tinderpot, raced through the cosmos in pursuit of the heavy cruiser belonging to the notorious Pirozzoli crime family. Their objective: to save their friend Benny, who had bravely walked away from the family's dark legacy years ago, choosing a life of freedom and anonymity.

Benny's decision had not gone unnoticed by his family, who saw his departure as a grave insult to their honor. They were determined to bring him back home and eliminate him publicly, a message to all, "never betray the family." Benny was being held captive aboard their cruiser, on route to his farther.

To save his friends, Benny had called in a favor from his family, and his uncle Enzo was dispatched to retrieve him from the Absalom Station. During the Invictus crew's pursuit they were force to do battle with the relentless Drow, who sought to destroy them for a crime they were framed for.

Finally, the Invictus caught up with the Pirozzoli cruiser. As the crew prepared to launch a daring rescue, the viewscreen flickered to life, revealing a shocking scene. Benny's uncle, Enzo stood over Benny who was kneeling, a look of determination and grief on his face. Then without hesitation, Enzo raised his weapon and fired, the shot ringing out through the silence of space.

As the crew of the Invictus watched in horror.

Unknown to the Invictus crew, their friend's sacrifice would become a horrific catalyst, setting into motion a terrifying chain reaction; events that will plunge the Pact Worlds into war.

Note: Not all is as it seems adventures, and the hand of “The Unseen” continue to move its chess pieces.
