In our first adventure you experienced an energy wave that damaged your ship. This event will become known as “The Drift Crisis”.
Where faster-than-light travel was once a reality, by sliping into the alternate dimension known as The Drift, catastrophic events have changed everything. In the aftermath of the mysterious energy wave, every sentient race has become stranded and now struggling to survive.
The Drift was created by the AI God known as Triune. It was she who shared the secret of faster-than-light travel with all sentient races, and it is she that policed and protected the Drift plane for travelers to make their way safely across the stars.
Triune has gone silent.
The Drift-based communications and guidance systems, that used to send messages across galaxies, has gone down. In that instant, every spacecraft traveling through the Drift was violently ejected back into the material plane. This is, all except yours.
Entire fleets were destroyed, while others stranded without any possible hope of rescue or return. Many ships just disappeared, their crews and passengers never to be heard from again. Making matters worse, those who try to enter the Drift once more find that it is no longer a tranquil void, but a deadly maw from which escape is never guaranteed.
You must find the means to repair your ship, and a way to return to normal space. If you survive and manage to escape the void, you still have your mission.
Prepare to embark on an epic journey through the stars, where danger lurks around every corner and the fate of the universe rests in the hands of a capable, if yet an unwilling few.
