Chapter 2: Muscle Crack the Bone

"The flesh is weak, but the desire to endure is relentless."

The architecture is changing, it isn't just the stone crumbling into dust anymore. Deep within, the inhabitants are growing restless; they are weary of the rot, tired of brittle, calcified limbs and the hollow spaces where muscle used to be.

They have been waiting in the suffocating dark, watching those who came before you with a cold, singular hunger. They have studied the traps left behind by previous 'guests,' but they have no interest in the steel or the snares. They are interested in you. Specifically, they have taken an interest in the parts of you. The tendons that pull, the marrow that burns, and the skin that holds your story together.

The silence is not empty; it is a waiting room. The walls are beginning to hum with a frantic, desperate industry, as something incomplete seeks to make itself whole. Come prepared to guard every inch of your own skin, and keep a tight grip on what is yours.
