Episode 17: Ashes for Asherah

Updated: Dec 4, 2023

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” - H.P. Lovecraft

Absalom: Hebrew word meaning “Father of Peace.

In the heart of The Verse, there is a mystery that no one has solved. The Absalom Station orbits the place where the planet Golarion once was. The planet vanished without a trace, leaving behind a legacy of secrets and wonders. No one knows how or why the station was built. That knowledge was lost to the Gap.

Absalom Station is the hub of civilization, commerce, and culture in the solar system. It is also the home of millions of people who live in ignorance of the dark truth that lies beneath their feet. A truth that could spell doom for them all.

For deep within the station, there is a hidden chamber that holds an ancient horror. A horror that was once a threat to the entire galaxy. A horror that was sealed away by a sacrifice of unimaginable proportions. A horror that is about to awaken.

A scholar of the occult is about to unleash this horror from its prison, hoping to gain its favor and power. But he will only unleash a nightmare that will consume everything in its path. A nightmare that cannot be killed, only contained.

The creature is hungry, and it feeds on flesh and soul. It can regenerate any wound with the parts it has devoured from its victims. It can shape itself into any form it desires. It can sense fear and pain, and it delights in them.

With the horror loose and hunting, will you be able to stop it before it destroys Absalom Station and everyone on board?

Will you be able to uncover the secrets of Golarion and its fate?

Will you be able to survive the horror of Absalom Station?
